You really don't understand the concept of death
1. You are just changing cloths: The Bhagavad Gita, a sacred Hindu scripture, discusses the concept of the soul and its relationship with the body. One of the verses that conveys the idea of the soul changing bodies is found in Chapter 2, Verse 22. Lord Krishna told Arjuna:

"वासांसि जीर्णानि यथा विहाय नवानि गृह्णाति नरोऽपराणि। तथा शरीराणि विहाय जीर्णा- न्यन्यानि संयाति नवानि देही।।2.22।।"

Translation: "As a person puts on new garments, giving up old ones, the soul similarly accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones." This metaphor of changing clothes is used to illustrate the idea that the soul is eternal and undergoes a cycle of birth and rebirth (reincarnation). Just as a person discards old clothes and wears new ones, the soul discards old bodies and takes on new ones in its journey through samsara (the cycle of birth and death).

2. This is a cyclic process: Vedic philosophy often views life and death as part of a cyclical process, where the soul undergoes reincarnation. Death is seen as a transition rather than an endpoint. This cyclical perspective is central to the concept of samsara, the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. Vedic teachings emphasize the distinction between the eternal soul (Atman) and the temporary physical body. Death is seen as the separation of the soul from the body, and the soul is considered eternal and unchanging. Death is viewed as an opportunity for the soul to progress on its spiritual journey. These perspectives generally portray death as a natural part of the cosmic order and an opportunity for spiritual growth
